	Memory is about a time and a place, it is a residue. Distance between the event and the present distorts the representation and degrades the residue. Yet there persists a feeling of continuity in reflection, holding the connection for the individual between their past and present. This connection evokes emotional response, and elicits deeper apreciation of the ephemeral “that which can be seen but not touched”.
