consider the body as an impermanent, renewable surface - a surface that
is in constant natural change and occurs occasional accidental damages.
The body is able to correct itself and return to its original state making
these damages present for a short time. The body will renew, and again
be an open surface for new markings to occur.
Bodies with accidental markings reflect onto the unmarked body, highlighting
the natural markings and body structure.
I am interested in the constant change surrounding the status of the body.
I seek to investigate incidental marks that occasionally interrupt the
bare surface of the skin, further to this, acknowledging the pliable nature
of the surface; the way our skin canvas stretches and moves over the structured
framework of our bones. |
