Creating photographs where the surface of the images may
draw towards the looks of fashion, blurring the boundaries between visual
arts and fashion photography.
Photographing garments that are empty of the body but filled with connotations
that can become suggestive of a figure and gender that may have once been
present, garments that represent and create the form of the figure through
the different visual qualities within the image – texture, light
and colour.
By employing the use of hidden identities when using models adds a subtlety
to the images. Leading the viewer on to complete their own reading of the
work, creating a connection between the model and viewer by putting the
viewer in a possible voyeuristic position. |
