	The private world of Victorian parlors, the pursuit of comfort, the subtle disturbances all lead to uncanny furniture like objects. Binary oppositions meet in a conflicting situation, neither winning. Expectations and familiarity of the objects functions are not fulfilled. The Victorian parlor was a place where the public were entertained. It was here that the most opulent and luscious displays of taste, morals and social class were proclaimed. The works are realistic nostalgic replicas. They are made of modern, non-traditional materials, emphasizing the facade like nature of the Victorian era.
