Video has the ability to portray time and motion similar
if not exactly to our reality.
Video’s existence as a whole is not a physical one where the viewer
can see all the images in an instant but one where the viewer is left with
a memory of its existence and a summary of what happened in their mind.
Therefore video’s existence is left in our memory and not in our
physical reality.
Video is presented on one widely used medium the television, illustrated
by its name in latin “means seeing from afar”. Its square box
like shape acts as a window into another section of our reality but also
another person’s fantasy expressed in movies and dramas which we
receive through it. The image’s existence is restricted by the television’s
frame, I want to expand on the physical restrictions the TV’s frame
posses and use the television as a window into another reality, the television
reality. I want to basically expand the visual space of the television
and translate it into a physical space and thereby defying our physical
as well as spacial limitations.
