I have a passionate desire to photograph my world. Explore and document an important part of my living experience; the relationship i have with my mother.
I explore our similarities within our appearance, what i call our veil. I document our likes and dislikes within our everyday life. Exploration of our bodies gestures and language take place with methods of portraiture used to document and re-create moments of our everyday life. Documenting our perfectionist attitudes, ways in which i mimic her through my living experience without being conscious of it. I look up to her for being so beautiful and doing i all on her own. I adore her for being my Mother and my Father, my Brother and Sister, what would i have done without her. I photograph and re-create these memories and moments of our living experience in our home, our nest, the basis of my reality which has formed parts of my personality, as has she.
Utilising a fashion aesthetic to glamourise and re-create these important moments that inform who i am today. My works became my journey of exploration and discovery helping me to uncover my identity.
