From the shores of the golden sand to the smell of the fresh salty waters are the far islands of the pacific, it is from here, we the humble traveller has migrated from and journeyed to a land of hope and opportunity. Longing for the smells of home, family, friends and culture, you will reflect on what was once your homeland. now in the city of sails,(The Land of the Land White Cloud) we have adapted to this new way of living and culture which seems to be so different and freely lived among this day and age. Family, friends and culture are the main values which help to uphold the cultures and keep the two cultures within their boundaries . the house is our main source of learning , learning this culture from the inside out and also picking up the mother tongue, which has proven to be quite a challenge. Expressing my feelings i have towards this culture i have grown to learn and become part of i now have taken a journey of my own , a journey into a world which is one but practices two cultures in addition to two very different ways of living
